Mark Davis has had approximately 26 Solo and Group Exhibitions since 1997 at galleries across Australia.  There are a number of corporate and private collections of Mark’s work, held by Lend Lease, Chroma Australia, Macquarie University and numerous others.

 

Although Mark has a Diploma of Art at Hornsby TAFE College in NSW, he remarks that he is self taught and has worked in the building industry for 35 years, pursuing his painting passion whenever he could.  His first real break into the art world was through a series of exhibitions at Kenthurst Galleries in Sydney.

 

Mark states that “My work is concerned with the perception of reality rather than direct references, creating a reverie of place and time through which the viewer can find resemblances to nature.”   His “Water Lillies” and “Reef” series are perfect examples.
